United Arab Emirates - FUTURE



The UAE is planning to establish the first inhabitable human settlement on Mars by 2117. 

The UAE aims to be the world’s best country in the Global Food Security Index by 2051 and among the top 10 countries by 2021. 

In November 2015, Sheikh Mohammed launched Dubai Clean Energy Strategy. 

Under this strategy, Dubai aims to produce 75 per cent of its energy requirements from clean sources by 2050. 

By 2036, the UAE aims to reduce the total demand for water resources by 21 per cent. 

By 2024, the UAE will have developed a 100 per cent Emirati-made lunar rover and sent it to the moon.

UAE started small with the land of the desert whose living was based on fishing villages and date farms.  In the past, it was a simple village life.  There were no schools, hospitals and even proper housing structures to plan a life there.  People used to travel to India and other countries for their medical treatment.  Before oil discovery, the UAE depended on natural resources to provide for basic needs, through pearl diving and agriculture. For centuries, the population in coastal areas sustained their living through pearl diving, fishing, and dhow trading. Palm trees were used to provide dates as food.  Palm tree branches were used to build the house roofs.  Tree trunks supported tents and flooring of dwellings were made by woven palm leaf strips.  Families got their milk and cheese from cows and goats, and their water from a well. When the 20th century unfolded i n UAE, Abu Dhabi and Dubai were the poorest emirates while Sharjah was powerful....
